We are excited to announce that for the first time in our clubs 99 year history the 2021/22 season will mark the start of a new Ide Hill & Sundridge Women’s team. Both recreational facilities at Ide Hill and Sundridge will be utilised with the ladies plying their trade in the South East Counties Women’s Football League – Division 2 (West).

The team will be managed by Lorraine Rowley who in the past was a huge presence within the Junior set up, she was the integral in its introduction becoming Ide Hill’s first Junior Manager. This coupled with her wealth of playing experience makes her the perfect person to take the helm of this new women’s team.

We caught up with Lorraine to share her thoughts – “I am excited and absolutely thrilled to be appointed manager of the new Ide Hill & Sundridge Women’s football team. Ide Hill FC really are a club going from strength to strength, with four men’s adult teams, a thriving and buzzing youth set up and now a brand-new women’s team for the community, it makes me proud to be part of this amazing club once again”.

With regards to ambitions for the new season Lorraine stated – “As a brand-new team we will have a lot of work ahead of us, but I am very much looking forward to bringing women’s football to our wonderful local community”.

To echo Lorraine’s words, we as a club have an ambition to ensure we offer football to anyone who wants to play the beautiful game within our community and are therefore extremely delighted to officially announce the Ide Hill & Sundridge Women’s team.
